New Name and Location
Previously known as: Sewing with Brigette, the newly built Sew&Design Lab is located residentially in Chula Vista California. Our brand new location, inspired and built like an Art studio, is spacious and equipped with sewing stations, cutting tables, large ironing station, storage, a restroom and so much more! When I dreamed this place up I really wanted it to be a place of learning, inspiration, collaboration, creative comfort zone pushing, and a place for people to build community in new ways. We offer a variety of sewing classes, illustration classes, and so much more!
Meet the Owner
Hi! I am Brigette Sandoval
I graduated from College with a degree in apparel design in 2006. I worked as a formal wear stylist for years, owned my own handbag company and thru that became a wife and mother! I found my true passion in the fashion industry three years ago when I started teaching sewing to our local youth in Chula Vista, and things just took off from there! Unfortunately a year after starting my rapidly growing sewing classes, my husband was diagnosed with very aggressive stage 4 Lymphoma. I took time off to care for him and our young children during his battle. But during that time my father in law, my bible study group and our friends helped me design and build a brand new larger art studio that I could have after my husband got better. By a miracle my husband is alive and getting better day by day.
I can’t wait to share my new studio with you for one of our Lab classes in 2020!
